Blog- January 2022 Content Caboodle

Welcome 2022!

Happy New Year! If you have been wondering where the Content Caboodle has been the last several months it may come as a surprise that it has literally been hiding.

Seriously, I have the calendars done and loaded to the site but never got the blogs up for you. I know- NOT COOL! This year I will do better, promise. I know many people reached out asking for them and I was able to shoot the calendar itself over but after leaving my day job I found myself a little overwhelmed and just kept putting the blog off. Not an excuse just the truth.

Are you ready for the new year?

The good news is that I have the plan for my blogs all laid out. It may change as different questions come in but I have eliminated a lot of the challenges that prevented me from actually writing the darn blog.

As a matter of fact, I did a lot of planning for 2022 and feel awesome about where it is going to take me!

Goal Planning Tips

I shared this video a couple of weeks ago on Instagram but the tips are still very relevant and I just love this elf filter. 🤣

Tips:

Set aside TIME and SPACE to really put thought into your goals.

Put it on your calendar
Remove distractions

Know the end goal!

Don't set so many goals you can't achieve them all. Being is aggressive but it doesn't pay to don't set yourself up for failure.
Do some of your goals support others? That's awesome, bulk those together so you can define the big goal and the supporting goals so you can celebrate your successes.

Write them all down. I suggest putting them someplace visible. I have a vision board with trips I want to take, material items I want to buy, and fitness goals, but I write down the big goals that will help me achieve those things, and I put that list close by as a reminder.

By spending the time to clearly define my goals and map out a plan to get to them, I was able to eliminate some things and reevaluate some tasks I had been prioritizing wrong. This is an ongoing process I think but on a much smaller scale and more frequently- say on a monthly basis.

The Content Caboodle™️

One thing I did to help ensure I will get these out each month was to give the caboodle a fresh look.

I loved the fun puzzle feel of last year's caboodle but it took so much time to put together. Recently I had a light bulb moment when I was like, "Sam, what are you creating an entirely separate content calendar when you have an amazing spreadsheet already?" So I took the framework for my tool kit calendar and used it to make a simple Content Caboodle™️!
